8 signs your website has been hacked
Many hacks stay invisible on the home page. These are the signs we see most.
Google warns visitors
"This site may be hacked" in search results or a red warning page in Chrome.
Visitors get redirected
Phones or first-time visitors land on spam, gambling or pharmacy sites.
Strange admin users
Admin accounts you didn't create, or your own login suddenly fails.
Forms stopped sending leads
The site looks fine, but quote requests quietly stopped arriving.
Slow, blank or 500 errors
Pages time out, show a white screen or a server error.
Spam pages in Google
Search results show pages in Japanese, pharma or casino words you never wrote.
Files you didn't add
Odd PHP files in uploads, plugins with random names, changed core files.
Host suspended you
Your hosting company flagged malware or suspended the account.

Three ways we help
Emergency cleanup
Your site is hacked right now.
- Safely take infected pages offline (visitors and Google see a short maintenance notice, not malware)
- Full backup before anything is touched
- Find how they got in, from the server logs
- Remove backdoors, fake admins and injected code
- Back online, verified clean
Clean rebuild
Heavily infected, or you never want to wonder again.
- Fresh WordPress, theme and plugins from verified sources (checksums)
- Only your content and images come back, checked file by file
- Every page, URL and phone number kept: no lost rankings or Google Business links
- New passwords, keys and database credentials
- Malware scan: 0 hits before going live
Ongoing protection
Keep it from happening again.
- Daily checks of the home page, inner pages and forms
- Off-site backups you can restore
- Safe plugin and PHP updates (tested first)
- Login hardening and firewall tuned for your site
- Alerts to you, in plain English
How we clean and rebuild a hacked site
Infected site taken offline safely with a temporary maintenance notice, so visitors and Google never see malware.
Files and database copied off the server before any change, with checksums.
Server logs, malware scan and file history show how they got in and what they changed.
Fresh WordPress, theme and plugins; nothing old is copied back blindly.
Attacker accounts, injected scripts and spam removed by exact record, never by guesswork.
Every URL loads, every phone number and address matches, malware scan shows 0.
Switch over with a one-step rollback ready, then daily monitoring.
Clean rebuild vs. a quick scan-and-delete
| SEO Tech Pro | Typical quick fix | |
|---|---|---|
| Approach | ✓ Clean rebuild from verified code | Run a scanner, delete what it flags |
| Hidden backdoors | ✓ Old code never comes back | Often missed, so the hack returns |
| Your pages and rankings | ✓ Every URL, page and phone number verified | Not checked |
| Database | ✓ Fake admins and injected code removed | Usually untouched |
| Proof | ✓ Before/after report: pages, phones, scan results | "It's clean" |
| After | ✓ Monitoring, off-site backups, hardening | Nothing until the next hack |
A fixed price after a free check
We look at your site first, then quote one fixed price. What affects it: how many sites and pages, how deep the infection goes, whether a clean rebuild is needed, and whether you want ongoing protection afterwards.

Website security questions
How fast can you start?
Same day in most cases. The first step, taking infected pages offline safely and backing everything up, usually happens within hours of your OK.
Will I lose my Google rankings?
A short, properly signaled maintenance period (503) tells Google the site is temporarily down, which protects rankings. Leaving malware live is what hurts them. We keep every URL, page and phone number exactly the same.
Why not just run a malware scanner?
Scanners find known patterns but miss custom backdoors, fake admin accounts and code injected into the database. If anything is missed, the hack usually comes back. Rebuilding from verified code removes that risk.
My site has hundreds of local pages. Is that a problem?
No. We verify every page automatically after the rebuild, including each page's own phone number and address, before the site goes live.
Will Google remove the 'hacked' warning?
Once the site is clean we request a review in Google Search Console. In many cases there is no warning at all if the site was contained quickly.
How much does it cost?
We quote after a free check, because a single infected plugin and a fully compromised server are very different jobs. You get a fixed price before work starts.
Do you work on non-WordPress sites?
Our specialty is WordPress (including Elementor). For other platforms, call us and we'll tell you honestly if we can help.
Do I need ongoing protection?
It's optional, but most hacks come through outdated plugins or weak logins. Monitoring and off-site backups mean a problem is caught in hours, not months.
